Greetings from Bulldog Athletics:

UMD student-athletes have a great tradition of achieving excellence in the classroom, in competition, and in the community. Through your commitment to join the Bulldog Club annual fund campaign you help provide the resources necessary to meet the cost of excellence. Unrestricted and sport-specific gifts made to the Bulldog Club increase the margin of excellence that distinguishes the UMD athletic experience from the rest of our competitors. Your gift provides the foundation of support for student-athlete scholarships. The Bulldogs' championship performance in the classroom, in competition, and in the community begins with scholarships.

These are exciting times for all of us connected to "Bulldog Country." The future holds a great deal of promise for us to continue escalation and improvement of all facets relating to UMD Intercollegiate Athletics. Five ways to give

You can contribute to UMD Athletics in the following ways.

1. Make a gift to the Bulldog Club Annual Fund Campaign to support student-athletes

2. Increase your annual fund gift to the next level

3. Make a gift to a capital project for a sport program

4. Support or create an endowed scholarship fund

5. Make a "Legacy" gift through a planned giving program

Your Support

The University of Minnesota Duluth is committed to supporting the student-athletes to the highest degree and providing them with the resources necessary to succeed. Gifts to UMD Athletics are used to fund the student-athlete experience which for the full scholarship recipient averages close to $26,000 per student-athlete each year. It is your support which makes it happen for our teams and school!

Must I pay in full?

No. You may pay in quarterly installments.

How does the contribution year run?

Contributions to UMD Athletics are welcomed anytime. However, you should complete the payment of you pledge by April 30th of the academic year in which you make your pledge.

Can I specify who receives my contribution?

You may designate your gift to be used for a certain sport, a specific purpose, scholarships, etc., or for unrestricted purposes.

Where does my donations for premium seating or bulldog club access go?

Many of you have taken advantage of opportunities for upgrades in premium seating and Bulldog Club Lounge areas for Men's/Women's Hockey and Football.  Your generosity associated with UMD season ticket package sales is greatly needed and appreciated.  These funds also go towards scholarships for supporting our student-athletes.  Please note that these donations are separate from the Bulldog Club and the Bulldog Club Annual Fund Campaign.

What do I receive?

Besides knowing you are an important part of the UMD athletic success story, contributors are acknowledged in a number of ways, depending on the level of contribution. Some of the benefits include clothing item, parking permits, discounts to the Bulldog Shop, tickets, program recognition, access to hospitality rooms, special events, etc.

Success

True success in a collegiate athletic program requires a balance between competitive victories and academic achievements. The consistent performances of Bulldog athletics in both arenas place the UMD athletic program among the nation’s elite. Such balance and consistency are the result of superior coaching, a comprehensive athletic academic support system, and plain old hard work. But in order to develop successful Bulldog teams and student-athletes, UMD’s coaches must recruit talented, intelligent, quality young women and men. Your contribution preserves UMD’s athletic tradition by funding scholarships, which are essential in attracting gifted student-athletes. Imagine the pride of knowing that your support plays a direct role in the Bulldogs’ next WCHA or NSIC title; or that your contribution has helped a young man or woman earn a college degree.
