MY 9 TO REMAIN TELEVISION HOME FOR UMD HOCKEY AND FOOTBALL IN 2012-13

The My 9 Sports Network will be the continue to be the television home for University of Minnesota Duluth hockey and football this fall and winter as part of a one-year agreement, which was announced today, between the Duluth-based station and Bulldog athletics.
My 9 (KBJR DT 6.2 and KRII DT 11.9) has carried Bulldog men's hockey, football and women's hockey since the 2010-11 season.
"We are thrilled to extend our partnership with UMD," said David Jensch, vice president and station manager of the Northland's News Center. "Bulldog athletics are the premier sports attraction in the Northland and we are very proud to bring them to our viewers.
MY 9 will televise all six UMD regular season home football games and each of the Bulldogs' 19 home men's hockey contests along with with the Bulldog-University of North Dakota women's hockey series on Feb. 22-23. A select number of men's hockey road games are also expected to be added to the 2012-13 My 9 broadcast schedule.
