University of Minnesota Duluth women's hockey head coach Maura Crowell has been named an assistant coach for USA Hockey's Under-18 World Championship team, USA Hockey announced today.

Crowell, currently in the midst of her first season at the helm of the No. 10 Bulldogs, will be joined by 2016-17 UMD signee Sydney Brodt in St. Catherine's, Ontario.  The 10-day tournament will take place at the Meridan Center between Jan. 8-15.

No. 8 Harvard visits Crowell and the Bulldogs this weekend, with Friday's game getting underway at 4:07 p.m., and UMD's 'Cram the Am', where a non perisable good item witll get fans free admission, will start at 1:07 p.m. Saturday
