Brooks Zamzow -- captured individual championships at Saturday's Holst Invitational on the campus of Concordia University-St. Paul.

Boston Braack placed 1-2 in the 800-meter run with times of 1:56.90 and 1:59.60, respectively, while Peterson, another first-year Bulldog, ran a 4:04.69 in the 1,500-meter run en route to winning his first collegiate outdoor event. Ryan, who last Sunday topped the field at the College of St. Benedict-Saint John's University Decathlon meet, took the Holst Invitational 110-meter hurdle crown with a time of 15.21 and Brooks equaled a personal best in the javelin (47.61 meters) to claim that 15-competitor event. In the hammer throw,
Nick Moran wound up second (despite a 56.81 meter effort that currently ranks first in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference) as did his fellow senior team captain,
Dan Nielsen, in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (9:34.74). UMD dominated that race, placing junior
Drew Johnson (9:40.74), junior
Mitch Fisher (10:04.15), freshman
Cody Sedbrook (10:10.33) and senior
Aaron Handorff (10:19.22) in the next four spots behind Nielsen, who also earned runnerup honors in the 5,000-meter run (15:16.07). Junior
Brendon Pineda, a UMD basketball letterman, finished third in the shot put with a toss of 14.99 meters and rookie
Connor Behm was third in the 200-meter dash (22.26) as well as fourth in the 400-meter dash (49.53). In addition, the 4 x 100 relay team of freshman
