University of Minnesota Duluth head women's hockey coach
Maura Crowell and her coaching staff have signed nine high school standouts to a National Letter of Intent in the early signing period.
The future 2017-18 Bulldog freshman class includes Monique Aanenson (Moorhead, Minn.), Lindsay Czech (Medina, Minn.), Mallorie Iozzo (Hibbing, Minn.), Anna Klein (Edina, Minn.), Hanna Markel (Dillon, Colo.), Megan Pardy (Courtice, Ontario), McKenzie Revering (Garfield, Minn.), Alison Rodgers (Oswego, N.Y.) and Naomi Rogge (Eden Prairie, Minn.).
"We are very excited about this class of future Bulldogs," said Crowell. Â "As a group, they come from all over North America and represent all three positions. Two-thirds of the class is homegrown here in the state of Minnesota and five of those six are products of Minnesota high school hockey. In addition, we welcome players from the Provincial Women's Hockey League in Ontario, the Junior Women's Hockey League which spans the United States and Canada, and the prep school circuit in the Northeast U.S. Needless to say, this is a diverse group. We will expect them to come in and make an immediate impact in 2017-18. I'd like to thank assistant coaches
Laura Bellamy and
Chris Connolly, as well as former assistant Sami Reber--now head coach at Edina High School--for their tireless efforts in bringing this great group of student-athletes to the University of Minnesota Duluth."
