Elizabeth Brunner both posted first-place finishes at the two-day Lyle Hokanson Classic, which concluded Saturday at North Dakota State University in Fargo, N.D.
Seidenkranz captured the 5,000-meter run title, coming in at 11:24.70 while Brunner prevailed in the triple jump for the second time in four outdoor meets this spring, leaping 37'-10.00". Other Bulldogs to place among the top eight individuals in their respective events included sophomore
Amber Seidenkranz in the 3,000-meter run (second place; 11:24.70) captain
Erica Kesseh in 100-meter dash (fourth place; 12.56), freshman
Danielle Kohlwey in the 100-meter hurdles (tied for fourth; 14.84), freshman
Megan Stuart in the 3,000-meter run (fourth place; 11:48.16) and senior captain
Chanel Miller in the high jump (eighth place; 5'-01.00"). In addition, the UMD 4 x 100 relay team of Kesseh, Kohlwey, freshman
Kendra Monpas and junior
Lauren Kotajarvi took sixth (49.85).
UMD will be in St. Peter, Minn., this Saturday (April 30) for the Drake Alternative Meet at Gustavus Adolphus College. A select number of the Bulldogs are also scheduled to compete in the Drake Relays, which being on Thursday, in Des Moines, Iowa.
