Three Bulldogs are about to have a very busy month of May.

Maddie Rooney has been selected to the U.S Women's National Team Goaltending Development Camp that will run May 12-15 in Blaine, Minn., while senior forward
Ashleigh Brykaliuk and sophomore defenseman
Jessica Healey will head to Hamilton, Ontario next week for Canada's National Women's Development Team stength and conditioning camp that will take place May 4-8.
Rooney is one of the top-18 U.S. goaltenders eligible for international play that have been selected to the camp, which will be run by former Bulldog goaltending coach Robb Stauber and assisted by another former UMD goaltending coach, Manon Rheaume, as well as Steve Guider. Rooney played in 19 games -- starting in 18 -- for UMD, and recorded two shutouts en route to WCHA All-Rookie Team honors.
Brykaliuk and Healey will join 47 candidates for the for the Canadian National Women's Development Team that will participate in on and off the ice sessions. Players selected for this camp are in consideration for the Canadian teams that will compete in a three-game series against the United States this summer in Calgary, as well as at the 2017 IIHF U18 Women's World Championship and 2017 Nations Cup, and with Canada's National Women's Team. Brykaliuk led the Bulldogs in scoring last season with a career-best 47 points on 18 goals and 29 assists in 37 games, and was named to the All-WCHA Second Team, while Healey paced UMD with seven points (2g, 5a) in 35 skates from the blueline.
