Luke Lahr battled the cold, the wind and some 64 other runners to claim the 5,000-meter run title at the Bolstorff Twilight meet on Thursday in St. Paul. The University of Minnesota Duluth sophomore posted a personal best time of 14:55.82, which was nearly 58 seconds better than his previous high and the fourth-best mark turned in by any Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference competitor at the moment.
Junior
Clinton Treichel placed third in the shot put with a toss of 51'-04.25" (the best mark in the NSIC this season) while sophomore
Garret Schleis also took third in the triple jump (43'-05.00") at the meet, which was held at Macalester College. In the 1,500-meter run, junior
Cody Sedbrook clocked in at 4:08.58 to place fourth among 45 individuals and senior team captain
Brian Lee finished fifth in the shot put (48'-05.50").
Next up for the Bulldogs is the Drake Alternative meet this Saturday (April 30) on the campus of Gustavus Adolphus in St. Peter, Minn.
