Three Bulldogs captured individual titles as the University of Minnesota Duluth placed second in the team standings at Saturday's Ashton May Invitational on the campus of the University of La Crosse.
The host Eagles took top team honors with 132 points while UMD (101 points) and the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire was next (96 pts.) in the 13-team event.
The trio of Bulldog individual champions included junior
Amber Seidenkranz in the 5,000-meter run (18:17.22), freshman
Elizabeth Kyes in the 800-meter run (2:17.74) and sophomore
Danielle Kohlwey in the 100-meter hurdles (13.98). UMD also received second-place efforts from both Kohlwey in the 200-meter dash (24.88) and Moore in the 5,000-meter run (18:19.23). In addition, freshman
Melissa Drenckhahn (18:54.55) placed third to Seidenkranz and Moore in the 5,000-meter run. Sophomore
Elizabeth Brunner took third as well in the triple jump (37'-05.25).
