ERICKSON'S FAST FLORIDA START GARNERS NSIC PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS

The Florida sunshine may have been just what the doctor ordered for University of Minnesota Duluth junior shortstop Tyler Erickson. After managing just two hits in the Bulldogs' first three games, Erickson has batted at a .750 clip in the team's first four games of its spring trip, earning him the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference's Player of the Week honor. Erickson, an Alexandria, Minn., native, turned in two games with at least three or more hits, including a 4-for-4 performance in UMD's first game of a doubleheader sweep against Wayne State (Mich.)
