SYKORA NAMED NSIC MEN’S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Not many players average a double-double in men’s college basketball.But that’s exactly what University of Minnesota Duluth junior forward Brian Sykora did this past week.Monday, the Bloomington, Minn. native was named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Player of the Week for his stellar efforts.Over the week, Sykora paced the Bulldogs to a pair of victories over Wisconsin-Superior and Wayne State (Neb.), where he poured in 22 points and 17 rebounds against the Yellowjackets, while he scored 22 points and snagged nine rebounds against the Wildcats.
