MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY EARNS USTFCCCA ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM DISTINCTION

Nick Nygaard named to All-Academic Team

The University of Minnesota Duluth men's cross country team recently qualified as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Team. In order to qualify for this award, the team must have a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or better and have compied a score (finished at least five runners) at their respective NCAA regional championship. The Bulldogs collectively have accumulated a 3.26. GPA.


Along with the team recognition, the men also had an individual standout, senior Nick Nygaard. Nygaard qualfied for the All-Academic Track and Field Team and Cross Country in Division II. In order to receive this recognition, the individual must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher though the most recent semester and completed at least 12  credits in the semest of cross country competition and also place in the top 50 percent at the most recent NCAA National Championships or in the top 30 percent at the NCAA Regional Championships.
