BULLDOG SPOTLIGHT: BRADY LAMB
Tuesday, March 6, 2012
During the University of Minnesota Duluth's national title run last winter, Brady Lamb was a bit of an unsung hero on the blueline. Despite being the only Bulldog to have a hand in all three goals in the 2011 Frozen Four champion game win over the University of Michigan (a terrific trivia question), a dip in point production from his sophomore year allowed the Calgary, Alberta native to somewhat fly under the radar heading into the 2011-12 season.
Now a senior alternate captain, Lamb has put up a All-Western Collegiate Hockey Association-caliber year in terms of offensive output (seven goals, 19 assists for 26 points), thanks in large part to his patented bomb from the point. As a fixture on the UMD power play unit, Lamb has struck for four goals with the man-advantage, which puts him in a tie atop the WCHA among defensemen. Lamb will make his final home appearances as a collegian this weekend when the Bulldogs host Minnesota State University-Mankato in a best-of-three league playoff series at AMSOIL Arena.
