UMD MEN TAKE SECOND AT NSIC OUTDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS, WOMEN REIGN SUPREME

Prior to parting ways with the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference in 2004-05, the University of Minnesota Duluth strung together a dominating outdoor track and field run by winning 11 straight NSIC women's team titles. The Bulldogs, who returned to the NSIC this fall after a four-year stay in the now-defunct North Central Conference, kept that streak alive Saturday by placing first at the league championships in Wayne, Neb. while their male counterparts finished second at the two-day event.
