PAIR OF SHUTOUT WINS MOVES SOFTBALL BULLDOGS TO 5-2 ON THE YEAR

The University of Minnesota Duluth posted its first sweep of the young 2010 softball season Monday -- and did so without allowing a run -- downing Quincy University 2-0 and Caldwell College 4-0 at the Rebel Spring Games in Kissimmee, Fla. UMD and Quincy were scoreless until the top of the sixth inning when senior Kristin Danielson's double drove in freshman centerfielder Michaela Goris before Danielson scored on another double by senior first baseman Sarah Kabes.
