BULLDOGS BEGIN 2010 SEASON WITH A SPLIT

After being held in check in a 1-0 morning loss to Ashland University, the University of Minnesota Duluth offense came alive later in the afternoon, besting Slippery Rock University by a score of 4-2. Ashland junior pitcher Logan Hursey shutout the Bulldogs for six innings to pick up the win this morning.  The lone run of the game came on a suicide sqeeze in the first inning. In the win against Slippery Rock, freshman infielder Tyra Kerr went 3-4 with a solo homerun, and senior Kristen Danielson added another solo shot for the Bulldogs.  Junior Heather Stemper picked up the win on [Full Article]
