BULLDOGS FORECASTED FOR A SIXTH-PLACE FINISH BY NSIC COACHES

The University of Minnesota Duluth has its collective sights on returning to Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference softballsupremacy in 2010, but the league coaches don't see that in the cards -- at least according to their annual preseason poll which was released today. The Bulldogs, who opened up this decade by capturing three of the four NSIC crowns (2000, 2001 and 2003) before embarking on a four-year stay in the now-defunct North Central Conference, were picked to finish sixth in the 2010 NSIC race.
