The University of Minnesota Duluth women's tennis team has landed a 3-5 overall record after falling to the University of St. Thomas 8-1 Saturday afternoon in St. Paul, Minn.


The lone win for the Bulldogs came at the No. 5 singles spot where sophomore Kelsey Cunningham defeated UST's Kaitlyn Israel (6-4 7-6 (7-5)). Senior Katie Bolf was handed her first loss of the 2012 season, after being bested by Tommie Mary Allen in the No. 1 singles ranking (2-6, 4-6).   


In doubles play, the No. 3 pairings of senior Jessica Stensrud and Cunningham was just edged by St. Thomas (6-8).


The Bulldogs travel to Bemidji, Minn. on Saturday, Feb. 25, where they start a five-match Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference run starting with Bemidji State University. The match is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m..
