BULLDOGS WERE NATION'S FOURTH MOST IMPROVED TEAM IN 2008-09

Just one year after finishing with its poorest overall record in team history, the University of Minnesota Duluth bounced back -- and how -- in 2008-09 by going from 4-23 to 16-12. That 11.5-game one-season turnaround was not just a Bulldog record, but it represented the fourth best improvement of any NCAA Division II school this winter. The Bulldogs, under the direction of first-year head coach Annette Wiles, trailed only Ouachita Baptist University (a 15.5 game increase), Dowling College (12.0) and Erskine University (12.0).
