BULLDOGS SUFFER EXHIBITION LOSS TO MINNESOTA

In preparation for its regular season opener next week, the University of Minnesota fell in an exhibition game to the University of Minnesota. The Gophers, who compete at the NCAA Division I level, won by a score of 77-45.
Jheri Booker led the Bulldogs with 13 points. The senior from Summerville, Ga., who is one of UMD's three captains, also paced the Bulldogs in rebounding with seven boards.Sophomore guard Linday Miller was the only other player to score in double figures for UMD, finishing the afternoon with 11.
The Bulldogs open their regular season at home next Sunday (Nov. 15) when they welcome pre-season No.1 Michigan Tech University to Romano Gym. The opening tipoff is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
