UMD PLACES 25TH ON 2011-12 WBCA ACADEMIC TEAM HONOR ROLL

The University of Minnesota Duluth posted the 25th best overall team grade point average among all NCAA II women's basketball teams during 2011-12, earning itself a spot in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll.
The Bulldogs, under the direction of fourth-year head coach Annette Wiles, collectively turned in a cumulative GPA of 3.415 -- which was the best of any UMD men's or women's team -- this past school year. UMD sported five players (Megan Lueck, Katrina Newman, Hannah Rutten, Kaiya Sygulla and Emma Van Winkle) who attained Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference All-Academic Team status in 2011-12.
