NOTE: ONLY CURRENT UMD STUDENTS CAN ENTER THE

AMSOIL ARENA WITH A UMD STUDENT TICKET. UMD STUDENTS

MUST ENTER THE AMSOIL ARENA THROUGH THE BAYSIDE

ENTRANCE NEAR THE DECC AUDITORIUM AND MUST PRESENT

THEIR CURRENT UMD UCARD ALONG WITH THEIR TICKET

UMD Student seating for Men's Hockey games is located in two areas of the

Amsoil Arena:    * Lower Bowl Bleachers     * Upper Bowl, Section 213 

Season tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis. Lower bowl seating

will be sold first. After the lower bowl seating is sold out we will then begin selling

UMD Student season packages in the Upper Bowl (Section 213).

Seating is general admission within each area.  If your ticket indicates LOWER BOWL

you must sit in the LOWER BOWL bleachers. If your ticket indicates UPPER BOWL

you must sit in the UMD Student Section 213 in the upper bowl.

All current, UMD Students who have been invoiced their Fall 2012 tuition including their Student Services Fee are eligible to receive FREE and/or greatly reduced priced tickets to all UMD sports. By scanning a student’s UCard the UMD Ticket Office can determine if a student qualifies for these ticket benefits.

 SPORTS TICKETS – Grouped by venue

Soccer & Football – FREE with valid UCard - during the regular season 

·         Both sports are played at Malosky Stadium (the football field)

·         UMD Student tickets are General Admission – please do NOT sit in the center, reserved sections as these are for PAID  ticket holders ONLY - the UMD student section is on the home side of the bleachers in the far section, closest to Woodland Ave.

·         If you do not have your UCard when you come to the game you will be charged full ticket price

·         Show your UCard  at the UMD Student gate located on the Stadium Apartment side of the stadium nearest University Drive and you will receive a FREE ticket into the game one FREE ticket per UMD student per game    

Basketball & Volleyball – FREE with valid UCard - during the regular season  

·         Basketball/Volleyball games are played at Romano Gym in the SpHC Building

·         Most all basketball games are double headers – Women play first followed by the Men – your ticket if good for both games

·         All seats are General Admission

·         Show your UCard  at the ticket window and you will receive a FREE ticket into the game – the ticket booth in this case is the main ticket office in the lobby in front of the Romano Gym

Women’s Hockey – FREE with valid UCard - during the regular season 

·         All home games are played off campus at the AMSOIL Arena located in Downtown Duluth next to the Ariel Lift Bridge

·         You’ll need you own transportation to the arena for Women’s Hockey

·         You may get your FREE ticket for women’s hockey on campus at the main ticket office during regular business hours or…..at the AMSOIL ticket office as long as you show your UCard and only if you arrive before the second period of the game

·         If you wish to get your FREE Women’s Hockey ticket on game day at the AMSOIL Arena ticket window you must have your UCard  with you or you will be charged the full ticket price

·         Student seating for women’s hockey is in the lower balcony BEHIND EITHER GOAL and is General Admission –  the side sections are reserved for paid season ticket holders only  Student or general admission seating in the new Amsoil Arena will be located behind the goals

·         Parking is available in the DECC parking lot $4/event

·         FREE parking is available in most downtown parking ramps and at street meters within walking distance to the arena both outside and/or through the marked Skywalk System

Men’s Hockey – 

·         Only UMD sport that UMD students must purchase a ticket for – at greatly reduced rate providing that the student has a valid UCard and that these tickets are not sold out

·         Both reduced priced student SEASON tickets and SINGLE GAME tickets available until  sold out – there are a limited number of student priced seats available, if the student priced seats are sold out a student can still purchase a Men’s Hockey ticket at the full price

·         All UMD Men’s Hockey games are played in Downtown Duluth at the AMSOIL Arena

·         UMD runs three fan buses to and from the AMSOIL Arena at no additional cost to UMD Students with a game night ticket - buses load on campus in front of the UMD Street Level Store (Bus Hub)

·         Single game tickets can be purchased in advance for any regular season home game after the official "on sale date" until SOLD OUT  

·         There are two UMD Student Sections (all General Admission) in the AMSOIL Arena for UMD men's hockey -  lower bowl bleacher seats behind the goal at which UMD shoots twice AND upper bowl theatre style seats in Section 213

·         UMD Students must enter through the UMD Student Gate ON THE BACKSIDE OF THE AMSOIL ARENA THROUGH THE ENTRANCE LOCATED NEXT TO THE DECC AUDITORIUM/SYMPHONY HALL for Men’s Hockey games only – campus police do check that individuals with student priced tickets also have a valid UCard 

·         If a student does not have their UCard with them on game night their game ticket will be considered VOID and the student must either retreive their UCard or exchange their student ticket for a full price Adult ticket in order to enter the arena

-    A UMD student rate ticket can be used ONLY by a UMD student who has a valid UCard - students must show their student game ticket along with their UCard for entry into each game.
