AS A BULLDOG:  After three seasons of mostly part-time deployment on the Bulldog front lines, 2012-13 could be his moment to finally bust loose  ...  suited up in just under half (19) of UMD’s 41 games last season and contributed two goals and two assists to the Bulldog cause ... scored once in road wins over both Michigan Tech (Dec. 2) and Nebraska-Omaha (Jan. 13) ... took his final shift of the 2011-12 season on Feb. 18 ...  elevated his game a notch or two as a sophomore and it showed statistically ... mustered six points (four goals and two assists) on the year while participating in 31 of 42 outings ... had a career-best two goals in a 6-0 blanking of visiting Alaska Anchorage on Oct. 22, 2010 ... qualified for the 2010-11 WCHA All-Academic Team ... was limited -- due in part to a late-season injury -- to 25 games during his debut year with the Bulldogs ... picked up one point (an assist against Minnesota State-Mankato on Oct. 17, 2009 at the DECC) that year ... banged up his knee at Michigan Tech on Feb. 6, 2010 and subsequently made just one more appearance (vs. North Dakota in the WCHA Final Five opener) the rest of the way.

BEFORE UMD: Drew the curtain on a prosperous three-year playing career at Totino-Grace High School in 2009 ... placed first on the Eagles scoring charts in each of his final two seasons, including 2008-09 when he amassed 33 goals and 33 assists for 66 points in 28 games en route to being selected a Minnesota Mr. Hockey finalist ... secured All-North Suburban Conference status on three occasions and was a 2008-09 Associated Press All-State honorable mention honoree ... captained the Eagles as a senior ... set a Totino-Grace High School single-season record for points by sophomore (53) ... exited the Eagle hockey program with 174 career points to his credit ... also was a two-time all-conference performer in baseball (pitcher/first base) and in soccer as a prep ... backstopped the soccer Eagles to a third-place finish at the 2006 Minnesota State High School Class A Tournament ... was chosen in the third round (89th pick overall) by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2009 National Hockey League Entry Draft.

PERSONAL: Born Daniel Raymond DeLisle on Sept. 24, 1990 in Minneapolis ... is the son of Jeffrey and Carolyn DeLisle ... has one brother (Thomas) and two sisters (Emily and Betsy) ... his uncle, Joe DeLisle, is a former Bulldog right winger and 1987-88 team captain  who also wore No. 10 during his UMD career ... is majoring in communication at UMD.
