AS A BULLDOG: Had some obvious catching up to do at the 2012 spring drills while coming back from an extensive stay on the disabled list ... saw a potentially bright 2010 season come to an abrupt halt just two games into the year with the culprit being a knee sprain incurred against Upper Iowa ... not only sat out the remainder of that season, but all of 2011 as well ... made his UMD debut in that Sept. 11, 2010 tussle with Upper Iowa and rushed for 51 yards on eight carries before calling it a season ... was redshirted as a first-year freshman in 2009.
