Before UMD: Competed for four years on the Polar Bears Cross Country Team and six years on the track team. She was a three time state qualifier in both cross country and track. Cross Country; was All-Conference after winning the Polar League conference in 2009, and All-State, placing 11^th . Track; All Conference in the 1600m in 2007-2009.  She was captain for both cross country and track from 2008-2010.
