BEFORE UMD: Closed the books on his playing days at Simley High School in 2011 by being selected to the Associated Press All-State (honorable mention), Minneapolis Star-Tribune Press All-Metro (third team), and All-Classic Suburban Conference teams ... lettered four years with the Spartans and handled a starting role in an assortment of positions (cornerback, wide receiver, running back and punt and kick returner) as a sophomore, junior and senior .... paced the state in interception return yardage (164) last fall and had six thefts on the year ... served as team captain with the 2011 Spartans and finished first among his teammates in scoring that year ... was coached by Rex King ... has also participated in track (sprints) at Simley High School ... is the son of Marion Fletcher and Melissa Waltman.
