AS A BULLDOG: Thrived for four years on both sides of the football -- linebacker and running back -- for Lena High School ... capped off a rewarding senior season with a third straight selection to the All-Marinette and Oconto Conference team ... served as the Titans's team captain in 2011 ... also handled the team's placekicking and punting chores ... paced the 2011 Titans in scoring and rushing ... was a four-year letterman in track (thrower/sprinter) and started three years with the basketball Titan varisty (center/forward) ... played football for his dad, Ed, while at Lena High School ... his older brother, Rob, handled a starting outside linebacker role for three seasons with the Bulldogs (attaining All-NSIC first teams status on two ocassions) and captained UMD as a senior in 2011.
