“Coming from Sweden, I was looking for a place that could feel like home. Duluth instantly felt like home. The atmosphere welcomed everyone and our team of international talent helped each other to win three consecutive national championships. Those are just some of the amazing memories that I will forever cherish.
Hockey in Duluth proved to be built on a foundation of excellence. I learned from the best coaches, I got to play in front of the most dedicated fans, and I made friends from all around the world that will last a lifetime. Duluth and the Bulldogs will forever be etched in my memory as one of the best experiences of my life. I grew immensely as a person and as a hockey player while learning what it means to strive for excellence in every aspect of life.
I feel very fortunate and honored to say that I am a part of the Bulldog family. I am forever thankful to all those people who made my University experience incredibly fun and memorable.
I am and will always be a proud Bulldog!”

"Going to the University of Minnesota-Duluth was the best decision I
made both academically and athletically. At UMD, I found teachers who were
proud of our hockey team and who were willing to help us in any way they could. Due to their support, I was able to enjoy my classes at UMD as I double majored in criminology and women's studies.
In addition, being a part of the UMD hockey team was an honor and a privilege. The many world-class athletes that have been associated with the program are a testament to the program's strength and the opportunities it provides. I have had teammates from all around the world, which has helped to expose me to different cultures and different relationships that I would not have encountered anywhere else. In my eyes, the diversity of our team is what makes UMD so special and so unique. When I think back on all I have experienced in my life, winning the 2003 NCAA title in front of our home crowd in Duluth is my fondest hockey memory.
I feel very fortunate to have been given the opportunity to come back to UMD as an assistant coach. It is truly amazing to join a staff that is committed to excellence and to work with dedicated athletes in a community I love. UMD will always be part of who I am and what I am most proud of.

“I cherish UMD Hockey for more than our three National Championships. I
cherish the journey off the ice that brought us success on the ice. We
were an diverse group that celebrated different Nationalities and
Cultures, but passionately shared a common bond - Bulldog Hockey.
We were fortunate to win, but what I remember most is laughing in the
locker room, back of the bus talks on road trips, and teammates who
became more like family. I feel fortunate to have been part of the
inaugural team that helped shape the program, but I am more grateful to
have been shaped by UMD Hockey.
The Bulldog program taught me about the essence of team, community, selflessness, sacrifice and the pursuit of excellence - all life lessons that I still reflect on and still
influence who I am. Bulldog Pride lives on in me everyday.”
